tl:dr Review:
A quality thriller with a feminist viewpoint.
Full Review:
I read this book quickly, over the course of two days and it kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time.
(Although, to be fair, time has ceased to have much meaning lately and I’ve been indulging in books to escape reality.)
However, I fully enjoyed the feminist viewpoint from this twisty thriller from the author of The Lost Night (if you enjoyed that book, you’ll enjoy this).
In the same way that The Lost Night tapped into the time period of graduating shortly after the 2008 crash, this book understands the nuances of female friendships and business. Furthermore, it showcases how we all crave connection and belonging (though we may not be able to have that right now).
If you’re looking for a thriller that will keep you guessing up until the end and tackles major issues like intersectional feminism at the same time, then this book is for you.
I give it 5 out of 5 thumbs up.
